A rapidly growing renewables installer aiming for £100m turnover by 2025 has selected Vanaways as its vehicle provider for its ongoing journey.
The deal is the first to come from Vanaway’s new partnership with risk prevention, compliance and supply chain services organisation Veriforce CHAS.
As a CHAS member using Vanaways, Green Building Renewables saved some £16k through its first four vehicles, which arrived brand new and included additional extras such as livery.
Working closely with Hannah Pearson, Vanaways’ regional business development manager for the North and the Midlands, Green Building Renewables plans to phase out all leased vehicles and pool cars through additional purchases.
Green Building Renewables started life in one office in Dunnington, York, in 2022, turning over £2m in its first year of trading. Two years later, it retains its head office and also operates from 15 other offices across England, with a turnover of more than £40m.
Installing solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and heat pump systems to domestic and commercial customers across the country, the company’s ambition is to be the UK’s largest domestic installer of renewable and low carbon technologies by the end of next year.
As part of the journey managing director Chris Delaney, who founded the company with group technical manager John Gilham, has chosen Vanaways as a “fundamental” partner to provide its vehicles.
Purchases have started with four Vauxhall Vivaro 1.5 Turbo D 120 Prime H1 vans for engineers in York, Peterlee and Doncaster, complemented by a further four operating out of Colchester, Norwich, Daventry and Oxford.
Mr Delaney said: “We are a fast-growing company with big ambitions. The demand for renewable and low carbon technology continues to increase as our domestic and commercial customers seek to improve the performance of their buildings and future proof them for the 21st Century. Therefore, we need to have a fleet of vehicles that we can rely on and which help us to reach all our customers across the country.
“Our partnership with Vanaways will be a fundamental part of our growth as a company. Its options and its customer service have made the process of expanding our fleet an easy process.
“We look forward to working with them over the next few months and years to grow our fleet. They will play a fundamental role in helping to build our network and meet the expectations and needs of our customers.”
Vanaways is itself undergoing spectacular current growth, having moved into new offices in Ham Green near the M5 at Bristol early last year.
Company turnover has risen dramatically in 2023, while the business is on track to deliver sales on more than 6,000 vehicles in 2024. In June this year the company was listed at 60 on The Sunday Times Hundred list of the UK’s fastest-growing companies.
Working with a vast network of suppliers across the UK, the company offers free delivery with a digitalised sales process which enables quick fulfilment of the customer’s fleet needs.
Future growth will be boosted by its partnership with CHAS, giving Vanaways access to more than 33,000 potential business customers around the UK.
